Stephen Gigante is in his first year
with the
Hawks. An experienced defensemen with a blistering slapshot, he should
contribute on the blue line. As a freshmen, Gigante attended Seton Hall
Prep and St. Mary's (Rutherford) but didn't play hockey. This is his
first season playing varsity hockey. He notched his
first varsity goal
against Newark Eastside on February 2, 2011 at the AmeriHealth Pavilion
in
Newark. Gigante played his entire youth hockey career with the Jersey City Capitals in the Charle Heger Rink at Pershing Field. He is also a baseball player and plans on trying out for the hawks baseball team in the spring.
