Nick Swift is in his second year with the
Hawks. This year Swift is playing on offense and is on the first line.
He had his first two goal game on December 11, 2010 against Newton
Lenape Valley in Skylands Rink. He notched a second two-goal game
against J.P. Stevens on December 13, 2010 in the Woodbridge Community
Center. As a freshmen, Swift played defense for the Hawks. Swift scored four goals in his frehmen year. His first varsity goal on December 18, 2009 in only his third varsity game against Hackensack High School in the Charlie Heger Rink at Pershing Field. He would score another goal later in the season against West Milford at the Ice Vault in Wayne, NJ. His third goal was against Fair Lawn High School on January 11, 2010 in the Charlie Heger Rink. His fourth goal came against Xavier High School on March 3, 2010 in the Rich Korpi Rink in Bayonne. As a sophomore, Swift has moved to offense and is playing on the first line. On December 30, 2010, in the Rich Korpi Rink against Morris Hills, Swift scored his first varsity hat trick (a "natural" hat trick) as the Hawks won the bronze medal of the Bayonne Holiday Tournament. He also had, at the time, a career high four points in the game. On February 18, 2011, Swift scored a goal against West Orange High School in the Charlie Heger Rink for his 20th point of the season. Swift had a excellent playoffs with seven points. He had a career high six points (three goals and three assists) in the NJIHL Western Division quarter-finals, an 8-2 win over Vernon High School at Skylands Ice World in Stockholm, NJ. Swift played his entire youth hockey career with the Jersey City Capitals in the Charle Heger Rink at Pershing Field. His last season was with the Capitals Bantam B team. He is also a baseball player who pitched and played secondbase for the Hawks varsity baseball team as a freshmen. |
