Where Are They Playing Now
Former Hawks that are playing hockey at a higher level:

Arthur Femenella: After leaving Hudson Catholic to play for the USA Hockey National under-18 team, Arthur became a 6th round raft pick by the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning. Currently he is in his sophomore year at the University of Vermont in Burlington. Arthur is a member of the Vermont Catamounts varsity team. The University of Vermont is a NCAA Division I school that plays in the Eastern College Athletic Conference. The ECAC contains such schools as Harvard, Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Colgate, Princeton and Union College. In his freshman year, the Catamounts finished with a 9-22-4 record. [editors note: a catamount is another name for a mountain lion or panther that used to inhabit Vermont]

Peter Haglund '01: Former team captain and member of the 2000 State Championship team, Peter is starting his third year with Wagner College on Staten Island. He is a member of the Wagner Seahawks varsity squad. Wagner College is a NCAA Division III school that plays in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The ACHL Northeast Division contains such schools as Fordham, Hofsta, Loyola, Maryland, Pittsburgh and Slippery Rock. In his first year, the Seahawks, were 39-1-0 (including 6-1 in the playoffs). They also compete in the Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference, where they are the defending champions.

Jason Ortolano: After leaving Hudson Catholic, Jason played junior hockey three years for the New Hampshire Monarchs. A member of the 2000 State Championship team, he is currently a sophomore at Union College in Schenectady, New York and a member of the Union College Dutchmen varsity team. Union College is a NCAA Division I school that plays in the Eastern College Athletic Conference. The ECAC contains such schools as Harvard, Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Colgate, Princeton and Vermont. In his freshman year, the Dutchmen finished with a 14-17-5 record.  [historical note: Schenectady, which is near Albany, was settled by the Dutch in 1643]

Ryan Lucas '03: Former three-year varsity defensemen who is currently a sophomore at University of Scranton and a member of the Scranton Ice Royals varsity squad. The University of Scranton is a NCAA Division III school that plays in the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association. The ECHA includes such schools as Drexel, the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, URI, Rutgers, Towson and Villanova.

A.J. Drago: After leaving Hudson Catholic, this three-year varsity member and former First-team All-State player was a member last year of the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders of the USHL. A.J. was a 7th round draft pick in the 2003 USHL draft. This year, Drago is playing for the New Jersey Hitman.

Pat Percella: After leaving Hudson Catholic, this two-year varsity player and member of the 2000 State Championship team is currently a freshman varsity player at Boston University. In his senior year at Avon Old Farms in Connecticut, along with former Hudson Catholic teammate Joe Cucci, Avon won the New England championship. The Boston University Terriers play in the elite Hockey East division with Boston College, Maine, UNH and Northeastern University.

Joe Cucci: After leaving Hudson Catholic, this two-year varsity player and member of the 2000 State Championship team is currently a freshman varsity player at Bentley College. After graduating from Avon Old Farms in Connecticut, where he was captain his junior and senior year and two time Brian Leetch award winner (as best Defenseman) along with being Avon Christmas classic tournament M.V.P. Cucci was selected as Hockey Night in Boston's New England prep defensive player of the year. In his senior year along with former Hudson Catholic teammate Pat Percella, Avon won the New England championship. Bentley College is a division 1 program that plays in the Atlantic Hockey Association with Holy Cross, Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac, Canisius,  Mercyhurst and West Point. In his freshman year, Cucci played in 28 games.
