December 1: Dumont 11 - Hawks 2
Chris Peterson
notched a pair of goals in a losing effort for the Hawks. Down
6-0 to Dumont in the second period, Jonathan Guarino hit Peterson with
a long pass giving him a breakaway which he buried into the back of the
net. Early in the third period, Peterson deflected a Curtiss Korn
wristshot into the top of the net for his second goal of the night.
Nigel Todd also received an assist on the goal. For Korn, a freshman,
it was his first career varsity point. Four different players had
two-goal games for the Huskies. Hawk goalie Armand Campos made 20 saves
as the Hawks were outshot 31 to 5.

December 7: Hawks 5 - River Dell 4
Chris Miterko
celebrated his 17th birthday on Saturday and scored his first career
varsity hat trick on Sunday to lead the Hawks to their first victory of
the season. Miterko notched the first goal of the game when he
backhanded in a pass from Jonathan Guarino and Chris Hendricks less the
three minutes into the game. A little over three minutes later, Chris
Peterson made it 2-0 on an unassisted goal after beating a defended
one-on-one and scoring over River Dell's starting goalie Mark
Arakelian's shoulder. The Hawks of River Dell cut Hudson's lead to one
goal to close out the first period.
Miterko regained the lead when he banged in rebound off a shot by
Peterson for a powerplay goal at 4:33 of the second. Curtiss Korn also
received an assist on the goal. In the third period, Hendricks made it
4-1 at the 6:21 mark when he backhanded in an across the slot pass from
Guarino. Peterson started the play with his pass to Guarino. River Dell
would comeback scoring three time in less then a three-minute span to
tie the game.
Miterko's final goal, the game winner with 1:54 remaining in the game,
came off a couple of quick passes from Guarino and Peterson. After
receiving the pass at the top of the right circle, Miterko fired a shot
over River Dell's Anthony Gagli's left shoulder.
Armand Campos made 33 saves for the Hawks.

December 8: Hackensack 10 - Hawks 1
Chris Miterko
goal early in the second period, off passes from Chris hendricks and
Russell Wadleigh, was the only score for the Hawks as they lost to the
Hackensack Comets in
Pershing Field.

December 12: Hawks 7 - Colonia 6
Chris Hendricks
notched his first career hat trick to lead the Hawks to their first
home victory of the year over the Patriots of Colonia. Hendricks first
goal broke a 1-1 tie in the first off assists from Chris Miterko and
Russell Wadleigh. Chris Peterson had opened the scoring for the Hawks
when he scored 2:26 into the game.
Colonia's Brian Remite scored his second goal to tie the game 2-2 29
seconds into what would become a wild second period. Peterson would set
up Miterko less then two minutes later to break the tie. 41 seconds
later, Hendricks would get his second goal off an assist from Nigel
Todd. Peterson would score his second goal of the night, 1:01 later off
an assist from Wadleigh to build a 5-2 lead. Under six minutes later,
the Patriots would score two goals within two minutes to pull to within
one. Miterko would notch his second goal 21 seconds later to give the
Hawks a 6-4 lead going into the third.
Remite struck for two goals (his 4th and 5th of the night) early in the
third to tie the game at 6-6. However, Hendricks denied them a point on
the night when he notched the hat trick goal at the 7:07 mark off a
pass from Jonathan Guarino.
Armand Campos made 24 saves in net for the hawks who were tied in shots
at 30-30.

December 14: Dumont 10 - Hawks 0
A tough
afternoon at the Ice House in Hackensack as the Hawks were shutout by
the Huskies of Dumont. Armand Campos made 16 saves for the Hawks.

December 15: High Point 8 - Hawks 4
The Hawks held
a 2-0 lead at the midpoint of the game, but the High Point Wildcats
countered with seven unanswered goals to take the game in Pershing
Field.
Chris Peterson made a perfect pass across the crease to Chris Miterko
at the buzzer in the first period for a 1-0 lead. The Hawks made it 2-0
four minutes into the second when Miterko made a similar pass across
the rease that was banged home by Phil Babich. For babich, it was his
first career varsity goal.
The Wildcats scored their first goal on a two-on-one with 7:10 left in
the second. The Wildcats would find the back of the net three more time
before the period ended.
In the third, the Wildcats scored three more goals to lead 7-2 before
Miterko (his team leading 8th goal) got the Hawks back on the board
with a goal off assists from Nigel Todd and Chris Peterson. Peterson,
who is leading the team in scoring, would add an unassisted goal a
little over a minute later. The Wildcats scored one last time for the
8-4 final. Armand Campos made 30 saves as the Hawks were outshot 38 to
25.

>Chris Peterson was in high spirits,
scoring three goals
and assisting on three others, and Hudson Catholic came out
on fire to defeat Morris Hills, 7-2, in a NJIHL
non-conference game and snapped a 12-game losing streak at
the Pershing Field Ice Rink in Jersey City on Monday night. In his last
two games, the sophomore center has compiled
six points to raise his team-leading season total to 27
points (15 goals, 12 assists).
The Hawks' second-leading scorer, Chris Miterko,
added two goals and two assists. The junior right-winger has
amassed 20 points on the year. Peterson's second goal of the game,
3:30 into the
second stanza, proved to be the difference and provided
Hudson Catholic with a 3-0 lead. Miterko assisted on the
play. Chris Hendricks and Nigel Todd scored the other two Hawk goals.
Hendricks, Todd and Jonathan Guarino also has assists in the game.

January 23: Hawks 4 - Newark Eastside 3
Junior goalkeeper Armand Campos had his best showing in net, facing a
15-shot onslaught in the third period, and stopping all but two to help
Hudson Catholic seize a down-to-the-wire non-conference victory Friday
at the Prudential Center in Newark.
Campos was in top form as he finished with 33 saves as the Hawks,
despite allowing a pair of third stanza goals to finalize the scoring.
Chris Peterson led Hudson Catholic's offense, scoring twice in a
three-goal second period, including what proved to be the game-winner
via a power play opportunity, 12:34 into the stanza. Chris Miterko and
Nigel Todd assisted on the goal that provide the Hawks with a 4-1
advantage before Newark Eastside's short-lived rally.
Peterson also had one assist, and accounted for nine points in the
Hawks' back-to-back victories. Phil Babich and Chris Hendricks also
