Amanda Peterson is in her first year
with the
Hawks. She is the first female to play for Hudson Catholic. She is a
veteran defensemen who will add to the hawks' blueline. In her first
varsity game againt Xavier High School in the Rich Korpi Rink. she
assisted on two goals. She had a second two-assists game against Newark
Eastside at the AmeriHealth Pavilion in Newark on January 19, 2011. She
had a third two-assists game, this time in the playoffs, in a 8-2 win in the NJIHL Western
Division quarter-finals against Vernon
High School at Skylands Ice World in Stockholm, NJ. Peterson learned to skate in the Charle Heger Rink at Pershing Field. As a mite, she played on the Jersey City Capitals mite travel team. She played two more years with the Capitals squirt teams. as a pee-wee age player, Peterson moved to the Bayonne Rangers where she played for two years. Last year, she moved up to the Rangers bantam team. She is back with them again this year. Also this year, she is playing for the New Jersey Colonials 14U Girls team. This past summer, she played in the Garden State Games with teammate Chistopher Antczak where they won a silver medal. At Hudson Catholic, Peterson is a De La Salle scholar and honor student. Her brother Christopher is the captain of the varsity team. |
